I’m going to keep this short.
Not because I’m lazy, but because I’ve been procrastinating and just need to get this out.
Do. The. Damn. Thing.
It may not be perfect but perfect is the enemy of progress and done is better than perfect.
Stop scrolling through Instagram & playing the comparison game & getting all insecure because so & so’s on an island and you’re landlocked in the Midwest (or wherever) like me.
Write the blog post.
Go for a walk.
Pop in a yoga video (er, what year is this? Stream it — whatever).
Start the novel you’ve been putting off. Who cares if it isn’t perfect? (Because news flash — it won’t be. It’s called editing for a reason.)
Bake some gluten-free sugar-free dairy-free taste-free cookies. Just kidding. Make these Chocolate Gingerbread Cookies instead and go LOVE LIFE. Because they’re freakin’ amazing.
Balance your bank accounts. (Highly recommend YNAB for this. It’s life-changing.)
Meditate. Or just close your eyes and do some deep breathing for one whole minute (you can do it!).
It’s called self-care and it’s what you need to do to be the best version of yourself so that you can show up for your family, friends, dogs, cats, co-workers, Target checkout clerk, whoever.
Now go do the thing and come back and tell me how/what you did! Capisci? (<– that’s Italian for “you got it?”)
