Yep. I took a break.
It’s been over a month since my last blog post and I’m totally fine with that. I make no apologies. I needed a break.
I was stressing myself out about some business and life stuff and needed. a. damn. break.
(have I mentioned I needed a break? 😏)
So, I stepped back, hung out on the family farm for awhile (this girl neeeeeeds her wide open spaces), hung out w/the fam, and just let things BE for awhile.
I watched some football, cross-stitched (this pattern I’m working on is epic — wait’ll you see it), found my new favorite popcorn seasoning (Trader Joe’s chile lime seasoning — LIFE. CHANGING.), got a new nutrition certification (which I’m in ❤️ with), drank a lot of hot tea (Stash peppermint and Stash lemon ginger — so good), and read.
When I got back home this past Sunday (after watching an awesome KC Chiefs win w/the family) I was rejuvenated and excited, and raring to dive back in. I’d lost a few pounds without really trying (which is crazy considering my mom’s yummy cooking), and I started a new workout program which I’m super jazzed about. (yep, I just said “super jazzed.” on purpose)
Now I’m back w/a vengeance and ready to take on the world. I pity the fool who gets in my way.
As we head into this crazy holiday season it’s sooooo important to stop and take time for yourself. Even if it’s just a few minutes here & there. Because if you don’t show up for yourself first you can’t even begin to properly show up for anyone else.
